August Cruise 2003
For 10 days in August 2003, we headed up the San Francisco Bay Delta for some fun in the sun!
Challenger Cove
After leaving Redwood City and making a brief stop in San Francisco for some fuel, we cruised to Challenger Cove, a protected cove right next to Tower Park, a marina resort in Lodi. Challenger Cove is an excellent spot for swimming, water sports, sailing, or heading to the marina to explore.

American River/Discovery Park
After a night in Old Sac, it was off to the American River for some more swimming and playing on the beach. We anchored at the mouth of the river, adjacent to Discovery Park, a great field for playing football. There was also a beach to play on only a 5 minute swim from the boat.

Hogback Island
Last it was off to Hogback Island for the annual summer rendezvous there. Several ships from the Bay Area meet here every August for a weekend of relaxation, socialization, swimming and whatever else can be though of to do with on a grassy island just off the Sacramento River
