JELLISON,
WPB 95317. As the Sea Scout Training Vessel CHALLENGER, she is in her 50th year
of devoted service to the citizens of the United States, the past 13 of which as
a youth training vessel on the San Francisco Bay.
As a Coast Guard Cutter, the Cape Jellison patrolled the waters of Seward, AK and San Diego, CA on primarily Search and Rescue and Law Enforcement missions. Now, as a youth training vessel, she operates on the San Francisco Bay, delta, and California coastline giving local youth the opportunity to learn first hand all aspects of maritime operations from engineering to navigation, deck seamanship to cooking.
